Nike Air Zoom Maxfly 2
Nike Air Zoom Maxfly 2
Designed for the 100 metres to 400 metres (hurdle events too), the Maxfly 2 is for the speediest sprinters on the planet. Its Air Zoom unit is engineered to the exact specifications of championship athletes. We updated the base and upper from the previous iteration to help optimise the Air Zoom unit's speed. You also get improved stability and control on both straights and turns as you hightail it to the tape.
Innovation is our inspiration
Bill Bowerman, Nike's original innovator, put our blueprint in place. He inspired the Blueprint collection design details, like the speckled Swoosh logo and sketches of feet on the insole. They remind us of where we've been as we keep moving forwards.
Built for Speed
Lighter than the previous version, the carbon-fibre Flyplate's shape and stiffness give you a propulsive feel. It helps keep you on your toes and minimise deceleration.
Zoom, zoom
The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from take-off to the tape.
Stability for straights
We removed the middle spike from the original Maxfly and elevated the platform on the big-toe side. This helps the spikes feel more stable on straights and around the turn.
Secure fit
Nike Flyweave construction on the upper provides a secure and contouring fit for various foot shapes.
